HERBERT CAMS WILL NOT HONOR BREAK IN ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH FLAT TAPPET LOBE WEAR, UNLESS EITHER COMP CAMS BREAK IN OIL OR HERBERT ENGINE ADDITIVE IS PURCHASED AT THE TIME OF CAM PURCHASE. EITHER ADDITIVE MUST BE ON THE SAME RECEIPT AS THE CAMSHAFT, TO HONOR ANY WARRANTY ISSUES. IN ADDITION, THE OIL PREFERED BY HERBERT CAMS FOR USE WITH OUR FLAT TAPPET CAMS IS VALVOLINE VR-1, AVAILABLE NATIONALLY AT ADVANCE AUTOPARTS, O'RIELLY'S AND SELECT AUTOZONES. HOWEVER GIBBS, PENN, AMSOIL, TORCO, LUCAS, ALL MAKE HIGH ZINC OILS SUITABLE FOR USE WITH OUR CAMS.

THE PART NUMBERS FOR EITHER OF THESE BREAK IN ADDITIVE ARE AS FOLLOWS AND CAN BE PURCHASE IN OUR ONLINE STORE OR BY PHONE. COMP CAMS BREAK IN OIL (COM 159) OR HERBERT ENGINE ADDITIVE (EF-301).

CAMS BROKEN IN WITH HYPERLUBE WILL NOT BE WARRANTIED OR CONSIDERED FOR WARRANTY. THE HYPERLUBE ADDITIVE WHILE "BLINGING" ZINC ON THE FRONT LABEL DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY ZINC, SULPHUR OR PHOSPHUROUS WHICH IS CRUCIAL TO ENGINE AND/OR BREAK IN. TURNING THE BOTTLE OVER, IN BRIGHT BOLD LETTERS DOES NOT CONTAIN ZINC OR PHOSPHUROUS.
